Jun 2, 2025

The H2MA European policy development workshop took place in Strasbourg on May 14–15, 2025, as part of the Interreg Alpine Space Programme, bringing together over 30 participants from various countries, including key hydrogen value chain players and representatives from EUSALP AG9 and AG4. The event opened with a welcome at the International Space University, followed by presentations on the H2MA project’s approach and recent advancements, the H2MA planning tool with a practical example, and the “Green H2 route masterplan” with conclusions and recommendations for partner regions. Governance and implementation strategies for transferring pilot results and supporting green hydrogen mobility value chains were discussed, along with synergies with the AMETHyST project and EUSALP AG2, AG4, and AG9. A matchmaking roundtable addressed EU hydrogen policy development, and the day concluded with networking, a visit to Strasbourg’s Petite France district, and a group dinner. The second day featured an internal project meeting, an introduction to Strasbourg’s multi-energy station, further discussions and reviews, lunch, and a guided visit to the European Parliament, providing participants with a comprehensive platform for knowledge exchange, policy alignment, and strengthening transnational cooperation for green hydrogen mobility in the Alpine region
